The rules that govern your use of Softickets — for attendees buying tickets and organisers running events on the platform.
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Softickets platform, including the Softickets consumer app, the Softickets Pro organiser app, and any related websites, APIs, or services operated by Aslan Softicketing Innovations Limited ("ASIL", "we", "us", or "our"), a company incorporated in Zambia and registered with the Patents and Companies Registration Agency (PACRA).
By creating an account, purchasing a ticket, listing an event, or otherwise using the Softickets platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy (LEG-007). If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.
You must be at least 13 years old to create a Softickets account, consistent with the age threshold set out in our Privacy Policy. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must complete any ticket purchase on your behalf and accepts responsibility for that booking.
By using the platform you confirm that all information you provide is accurate, that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and that your use of Softickets complies with all applicable Zambian law.
Softickets accounts are assigned one of three roles, matching the role structure described in our Privacy Policy:
Attendees who browse events and purchase tickets through the Softickets consumer app.
Event organisers who create and manage events through the Softickets Pro app, including ticket tiers, gate scanning, and reporting.
ASIL platform staff responsible for operating, moderating, and securing Softickets.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at softicketing@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
When you purchase a ticket through Softickets, you are entering into a contract with the event organiser for admission to that event. ASIL acts as the ticketing platform and payment intermediary — not as the organiser of the event itself, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Each ticket is issued as a unique, cryptographically signed QR code tied to your booking. You are responsible for keeping your ticket QR code secure; a ticket is generally honoured on a first-scan basis, so sharing or forwarding your QR code to others may result in someone else being admitted in your place.
Booking details we record for each purchase — event, ticket tier, price, quantity, and booking status — are as described in Section 2.2 of our Privacy Policy.
Payments on Softickets are processed by third-party payment providers, including mobile money operators (such as MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money, and Zamtel Kwacha) and card processors. ASIL does not store your full card number, CVV, or mobile money PIN — we receive only a transaction reference and confirmation status from these providers, consistent with Section 2.2 of our Privacy Policy.
Any platform service fee, and whether that fee is absorbed by the organiser or passed on to you as the ticket buyer, will be clearly itemised before you confirm payment. You should also review the payment provider's own terms, as they govern the processing of your payment instrument.
Refunds on Softickets are handled directly by the individual event organiser responsible for that event — not centrally by ASIL. Each organiser sets and publishes their own refund and cancellation policy for their event, which is presented to you before checkout.
If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, the organiser is responsible for notifying ticket holders and administering any refund in line with their stated policy. ASIL's role is to provide the tooling that enables organisers to process refunds through the platform; ASIL does not independently guarantee, override, or adjudicate an organiser's refund decision except where required by Zambian consumer protection law.
If you believe an organiser has failed to honour their own published refund policy, contact us at softicketing@gmail.com and we will assist in escalating the matter.
If you create an organiser account on Softickets Pro, you additionally agree that:
ASIL reserves the right to remove any event listing that it reasonably believes is fraudulent, misleading, or in violation of these Terms or applicable law.
Each ticket's QR code is cryptographically signed using HMAC-SHA256, as described in Section 7 of our Privacy Policy, and is intended to be scanned once for entry. Attempting to duplicate, forge, screenshot-and-resell, or otherwise circumvent a ticket's single-use validation is a breach of these Terms and may constitute fraud under Zambian law.
Entry decisions at the venue (valid / already used / invalid) are made by the organiser's gate staff using the Softickets Pro scanner. ASIL is not responsible for a venue's independent entry, security, health, or safety decisions.
You agree not to use Softickets to:
The Softickets name, logo, app designs, and underlying software are the property of Aslan Softicketing Innovations Limited and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the platform without our prior written consent.
Event organisers retain ownership of the content they upload (event descriptions, images) but grant ASIL a licence to display that content on the platform for the purpose of promoting and selling tickets to the event.
Softickets is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we implement the security measures described in our Privacy Policy, we do not guarantee the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
ASIL is not the organiser of third-party events listed on the platform and is not liable for the conduct, cancellation, safety, or quality of any event. To the maximum extent permitted by Zambian law, ASIL's liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the amount of the relevant ticket fee paid.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the platform. You may close your account at any time using the "Delete Account" option described in Section 6 of our Privacy Policy; note that certain records may be retained where required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes, as set out in that Policy's data retention schedule.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia. Any dispute arising from your use of Softickets will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zambia, without prejudice to any right you may have to lodge a complaint with the Zambia Information and Communication Technology Authority (ZICTA) regarding data protection matters.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date, post a notice within the app, and — for significant changes — notify registered users by email, consistent with how we handle updates to our Privacy Policy. Continued use of Softickets after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
